What do liars and ascetics mean respectively? Is there a difference between the two?

The difference between a fake monk and an ascetic monk is: different precepts, different ways of practicing and different ideas.

Monks are ordained Buddhists, including men and women who stay at home and men and women who become monks.

An ascetic monk refers to a monk who used "asceticism" as a means of practice in some early religions in India.

First of all, the commandments are different.

1. Prostitute: The precepts include no killing, no stealing, no obscenity, no lying, no swearing, no drinking, no wearing incense sticks and ornaments, no singing and dancing, no sitting in a spacious bed, no accepting gold and silver treasures, no trading, no fortune telling, no cheating miracles, no robbing and threatening others, and so on.

2, ascetic: the precept is "three noes", that is, no sexual intercourse, no lying, no killing.

Second, the cultivation methods are different.

1, fake monk: live a quiet and frugal life according to the precepts, and do Buddhist activities every day, which are done by the monk himself, including morning classes, evening classes and chanting.

2, ascetic: meditation practice, endure things that ordinary people think are painful, such as long-term fasting or even not drinking water, lying on a bed covered with nails, walking on hot charcoal, enduring cold and heat. Exercise endurance and separation.

Third, the idea is different.

1, fake monk: Give up worldly greed such as good clothes, three meals, and more sleep, concentrate on the Tao, and practice the "right path asceticism" without me.

2, ascetic: by reducing material life to the simplest level to pursue spiritual liberation and get rid of endless reincarnation.
