Where is Nicheng Old Street?

Nicheng Old Street is a small town on the southeast coast of Nanhui, Shanghai.

Nizhen belongs to Pudong New Area, located between 30 53' and 30 50' north latitude and between12148' 50 "~12150' 20" east longitude. Located about 20km southeast of huinan town, Nanhui District, it borders Luchaogang Town and Donghai Farm in the east, Hangzhou Bay and Luchaogang Farm in the south, Peng Zhen Town in the west and Shuyuan Town and Vientiane Town in the north, with a total area of 61.5km2. ..

Organizational system evolution

Nizhen is formed by long-term alluvial sediment carried by the Yangtze River and Qiantang River. The reclamation time was about 170 years ago. In order to prevent the tide from invading, mud dikes in four directions like cities were built during reclamation, hence the name "Mud Town".

Mud City is located in the southeast of the original county, at the intersection of Tuanlu Port and Huangsha Port. Resident of People's Government of Mud Town. During the reign of Qing Daoguang and Xianfeng, poor people from Qidong and Haimen in Jiangsu came here one after another to build earth dikes for reclamation. After the dam was formed, it was named Mud City. This settlement is rectangular. It covers an area of about 40 hectares.

The population exceeds 1500. There are nearly 20 factories and more than 20 shops in counties, towns and villages. 19 (1930), a peasant uprising broke out here, which was called "Mud City Riot" in history, and now a memorial hall for revolutionary martyrs has been built. The Dani Highway runs through the town.
