Physical geography of Hengfeng county

The territory of the county is rhombic, high in the north and low in the south, with rolling hills, surrounded by mountains in the east, west and north, and bordering Xinjiang in the south.

There are more than 20 kinds of proven minerals, such as coal, tantalum, niobium, tungsten, tin, lead and zinc. The reserve of raw coal is about 40 million tons. The reserves of rare metal tantalum and niobium rank first in Asia. Camellia oleifera forest covers an area of 240,000 mu, known as the "green oil depot", and is one of the key commodity oil bases in Jiangxi Province.
