Xupu Longtan has a high-speed planning site.

A highway is being planned in Longtan area of Xupu, from Longtan exit to Riyue Lake in Mianzhu, crossing the border between the two countries with Xupu River as the boundary, connecting Shiyan City in Hubei Province and Huaihua City in Hunan Province. Moreover, the expressway will extend to Yiyang and Loudi in the southwest oblique direction.
