The Origin of Huang Zhuang Village in Hanzhong Township, Wancheng

Hanchong Street in Hanchong Township, Wancheng District is the tomb of Liu Yuan, the sister of Guangwu Emperor Liu Xiu, so it is called the Big Bone Tomb. In the Qing Dynasty, there was an urgent delivery post shop, named Bai Shangpu, which was renamed Han Tomb in the Republic of China and has been in use ever since.

At present, there are two stone tablets in Hanzhong Academy, one of which is written in the middle of the book "The Great Tomb", and the small print next to it is "Guangwu princess royal is buried here, reaching Shangmashi in the north, Zoumagang in the east, Shui Ge Pavilion in the west and Jiaoguying in the south, all of which are relics of Guangwu". Another plaque reads "horse washing bridge of Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty". There is a stone slab bridge next to the plaque, which is located on the bank of Zhaihe River. Out of the primary school gate, there is an open stope in the west. Here is the north gate of Hanzhong Village, with the remains of the ancient Han Group, which was wiped out during the Cultural Revolution. According to the old man in Hanzhong Street, there was a big stone tablet in front of the tomb, in the middle of which was written "Tomb of Liu Yuan, Princess of Xinye Jieyi, the sister of Han Guangwu". Unfortunately, the monument was "broken" and then removed.

According to the Records of Later Han Dynasty, Liu Yuan, Liu Xiu's sister, married Chen Deng, a new outsider. When Liu Xiu started, Chen Deng took the lead in responding. In the third year of Emperor Xin Mang (A.D. 1 1 year), he joined forces with the outlaw rebels, occupied Huyang and Jiyang, led his troops to attack Wan, and went to Xiao Chang 'an (now Wadian Town, Wancheng District) to fight against Wang Mang's army, and the Han army was defeated. At that time, most of Liu's family and his generals died in the disorderly army. Liu Yuan was captured and killed by the mang army and buried in the southeast of Wan (now Hanzhong Street, Wancheng District). Subsequently, the Eastern Han Dynasty was established, and after Chen Deng's death, Liu Yuan's tomb was moved from the Han Tomb in Nanyang to Mangshan Mountain in Luoyang, where he was buried with Chen Deng.

Today, due to the legend of Liu Xiu's anti-follwed, many place names have been formed in some villages around Hanzhong. If there is Liu Xiuying two or three miles away on the street, it will be named after the army stationed here by Liu Xiu. There is Mangjiang Village in the southwest of the street, which was named after the army of Mang was stationed here, and was later mistakenly called Maqian Village. There is Zoumagang in the east of the street, which is named after Liu Xiu's horse, leaving the monument of "Han Guangwu Ma Shi". There is a camp called Valley in the south of Lisan Street. Named after the village where the Han army fought against the Mang army, the drums were deafening in the fierce battle. Later, it was wrongly called Jiaoguying ... These place names undoubtedly proved the fact that Liu Xiu, Guangwu Emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, fought in Nanyang in the early days and the origin of Liu Yuan's burial in the Han tomb.
