So generally speaking, there should be no more than three sticks of incense. You can use three sticks to represent the abstinence meeting. In fact, a slender little incense is enough.

Incense is mainly to express:

1. Say hello to Buddha and Bodhisattva;

3. Metaphorically burn yourself and broaden all beings.

Therefore, incense is not a deal to bribe Buddhists and Bodhisattvas. You shouldn't have the utilitarian heart of "Look, I burned so much incense for you today, you have to help me realize my wish".

If you have something in your heart that you really want to say to the Buddha and Bodhisattva, you just need to be quiet in front of the Buddha, solemnly put a incense stick on the ground, put it in the incense burner, and then cross your hands and tell it silently in your heart.

Sincerely offered incense has no distinction between high and low. On the contrary, buddhas and bodhisattvas don't like the big, expensive and exaggerated incense that churns when burned.

As long as the incense inserted in the incense burner is full, the temple masters will come to the incense burner-pull out the red-hot incense inserted in it one by one, and then smooth the incense ashes in the incense burner with a special millstone. If all the tourists burn incense in handfuls, the workload of the temple will double.
