There is a cloud in the Buddhist scriptures: after a new Buddha statue is completed, it must be opened to have its sacred significance. The opening ceremony of the Lingshan Giant Buddha was co-chaired by Dade, a monk from three schools in the world. The scene consists of ten thousand pots of flowers and ten thousand meters of yellow silk. The 500-meter-long road is planted with Buddhist flags, and the 2 18-level cloud road is planted with Jin Ju. Thousands of trees are wrapped in yellow cloth, and thousands of pigeons fly around Buddha. The Sanskrit sound curled up and the drums rang, reappearing the scene of Buddha's life; Believers gathered and burned incense to pay homage, showing my Buddha's virtue of returning to the heart. On the opening day, from 4: 00 in the morning, there was an endless stream of believers all over the country. From the urban area to Mashan, the traffic lasted more than 20 kilometers, nearly 4 hours. On that day, red mist hung low and danced slowly around the Buddha with the breeze. Accompanied by the graceful exorcism, Xiangyun floated and the fog dispersed, and the kindness of the Buddha appeared: his eyebrows were half bent, and he seemed to laugh without wisdom; Kind and tight-lipped, want to speak first. Thousands of believers worship devoutly, acquiesce in their wishes, and when they are happy, they mean good luck. At present, the opening scenes of the giant Buddha are all preserved as they are, and the opening video will be played in a cycle in the near future, so that more believers who can't come to the opening scene in person can enjoy the grand opening ceremony and share the same fate and happiness!

This giant Buddha is made of tin bronze. Besides the permanence of bronzes, it is more important that bronze art is the essence of classical art since the Stone Age and an extremely splendid part of China traditional culture. Bronze art enjoys a high status in the world because of its simplicity, elegance and exquisiteness. The giant Buddha casting project is large in scale and difficult, and the organizing committee decided to undertake it by Nanjing Chenguang Group. Nanjing Chenguang Group has reliable technology and accumulated rich experience in the construction of the Temple of Heaven Buddha in Hong Kong. The architectural structure design of the Giant Buddha is undertaken by East China Architectural Design Institute, which is famous at home and abroad for designing Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The artistic modeling of the Giant Buddha was designed by Nanjing artist Wu Xianlin.

The main data of Lingshan Giant Buddha: 1, the height of Lingshan Giant Buddha is 88 meters, the Buddha body is 79 meters, and the lotus petals are 9 meters. 2. The Buddha's body (excluding lotus petals) of Lingshan Giant Buddha consists of 1 560 pieces of copper siding with a thickness of 6-8 mm, and the weld is more than 30 kilometers long. 3. The shaping of Lingshan Buddha was completed according to the records of 32 Tathagata in Buddhist scriptures. The Buddha smiles kindly, and the audience lives. The right hand "seals fearlessly" means removing pain, and the left hand "seals willingly" means giving happiness, which is a blessing. The whole Buddha statue is solemn, complete, serene, dignified and meticulous, showing the Buddha's merciful method.

From Yungang and Longmen to Dunhuang and Dazu, great achievements have been made in sculpture ... Now there is Lingshan Buddha, thus forming a pattern in which there are Lingshan Buddha in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province in the east, Tiantan Buddha in Hong Kong in the south, Leshan Buddha in Sichuan in the west, Yungang Buddha in Shanxi in the north and Longmen Buddha in Luoyang, Henan Province stand tall and echo each other.

The Lingshan Giant Buddha stands on the Xiaoling Mountain near Taihu Lake in Wuxi, which reflects the economic development, cultural prosperity, social stability and peace in East China, and is also an important embodiment of China's policy of freedom of religious belief, symbolizing peace and life like bronze.

Lingshan Scenic Area is 7 km away from downtown Wuxi/kloc-0, and is connected by a special tourist highway. Located in Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway and Beijing-Shanghai artery, the traffic is very convenient. Recently, within 15 minutes, high-speed yachts have integrated lingshan scenic spot with new and old scenic spots such as Yuantouzhu, San'guo City and Shuihucheng, and cruise ships have connected Suzhou, Huzhou and Hangzhou, forming a more compact tourism plate around Taihu Lake.
