The Handsome Soldier was written by the famous Czech writer Hasek. This book vividly describes Shuaike as a good soldier!

Shuaike is a man who is not afraid of hardship. Being a soldier is a hard job, but Shuaike always thinks about the team after encountering many troubles. He is a model of a soldier. Shuaike is optimistic in his article, and nothing bad can scare him. He even misses life in the madhouse. In the detailed description of the article, I feel that Shuaike is not only a humorous person, but also an easy-going and brave person. Even though he had rheumatism, he didn't give up his responsibility. He went to the conscription site in a wheelchair, showing his concern for the country.

After reading this good soldier Shuaike, I think we should learn the characteristics of Shuaike? Integrity, patriotism, anti-corruption, optimism and humor. No matter what happens, we should face it with optimism and humorous thoughts. It will always make the person who wanted to make fun of her not only unable to make fun of him, but also be laughed at and satirized by Shuaike. A Good Soldier and Handsome reflects the ugliness of society at that time. For example, if you find money and give it to the police, the police will not only praise you but also call you a fool. The ugliness of this society tells us to be kind, helpful and useful to society.

Think about our lives. Have you made a contribution to the society and the country calmly? We should learn from Shuaike.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Shuaike who was dismissed because he was considered an "idiot". (My feeling) He thinks so and should be dismissed. Such a big fat man is useless. He was killed directly on the battlefield. Is there anything more hasty than this?

Answer? That's for sure. He has a friend who is absolutely the best in the pit, in and out of the pit, because he said he had a heart attack and he lost five ribs, which is incredible.

Shuaike is a good man. For example, he never acts impulsively or hits people. He speaks softly and always looks considerate. He has no faults, but he will get into trouble.

Finally, I want to say a truth, don't care about your being scolded, treat them as air, and throw them and your troubles out of the clouds!

This is the only novel that I can never get tired of reading. In my reading history, it connects Wang Xiaobo after Zheng He. In a sense, they are similar.

The first time I read Xiao Gan's translation of Yilin Publishing House, it was translated from the English Penguin Series. Mr. Xiao's translation is ok, but the original he is based on is only an abridged English version, which accounts for only one third of the total length of the Czech original. It is doomed to be deficient and unsatisfactory until I bought the full translation of People's Literature. So after repeated reading, I really realized Shuaike's wisdom and silence, as well as the emperor's new clothes under autocratic rule.

Autocracy is absurd precisely because if you do what it preaches, the thing itself will be extremely absurd. Others are trying to avoid military service, but Shuaike joined the army in a wheelchair despite rheumatism; Captain Locke wanted a dog, so Shuaike tried to get one from his hometown. In this way, the logic of the development of things is always unexpected, but it is reasonable to think about it carefully. It's not that we can't understand this society, but that the society itself is unreasonable. Through Shuaike's trajectory, we can see that the whole Austro-Hungarian Empire is in a mess under exaggeration, with priests drinking too much and stupid officers and men deserting. The existence of such an Austro-Hungarian Empire is the greatest absurdity in history.

There is a saying well, "The world is afraid? Really? " The word ",so we see in the novel that the whole autocratic building was riddled with jokes in front of Shuaike's seriousness, and those serious and noble things seemed so hypocritical and vulgar in the contrast of Shuaike. The image of Shuaike provides us with an example of resisting the autocratic system. Political opposition can not take risks, but spoof can show its absurdity.

"Stupid" soldier Shuaike

Humpty figure, chubby face, mouth always with a naive smile, a cheerful and smart look, which washed away the image of Shuaike in Xie Ke's Good Soldier Shuaike, which is also a "stupid" soldier Shuaike in my eyes.

I first noticed Hasek's book because of Yu's sentence in Passers-by Boundless, "Kafka felt the absurdity with serious deformation, but confused the absurdity with playing dumb and humor." I have read Kafka's Charming Castle, which is beyond my reach in my life. The shop assistant became a beetle who knew he was innocent but could not escape, and the salesman became a helpless and frustrated bug. Kafka's deformation is absurd and amazing. What's it like to confuse the ridiculous Shuaike with playing dumb and humor? Can such a handsome guy solve Kafka's gloom? I not only have high hopes for Haavik's The Good Soldier.

It took me only one day to enjoy The Good Soldier Shuaike for the first time, but I forgot the image of Shuaike with only one word "stupid". Silly funny, silly cute. An ordinary soldier who likes to drink beer was sent as cannon fodder for an emperor he disdained, but he had no interest in the war and its results. After the Sarajevo incident, everyone was careful not to comment on politics and military affairs, but Shuaike said something stupid in a pub and expressed his opinions naively, but he was arrested and imprisoned. In prison, facing the prison guards' nonsense questions, he still stupidly answered them seriously and was finally sent to a mental hospital; There, Shuaike greeted the doctors and nurses affectionately, with a calm expression and clear speech. After being driven out of the mental hospital, Shuaike could not bear to part with it. On the front line, make one after another, lost very gloriously. All handsome behaviors that don't know how to whitewash reality are "stupid" behaviors in the eyes of "big brothers". I think this is the reason why Shuaike was able to reverse Kafka's gloom in the Czech Republic at that time. He is naive.

But when I watched "The Elite Handshake" again, I found myself wrong. Shuaike is a fool recognized by the forensic doctor, but obviously he is not a real fool. His childlike innocence seems obedient, but he has no respect for authority; He played tricks on the Chief Executive in a ridiculous way, making everything he got humble and turning the war into a farce between pubs with ruthless style; He saw through the hypocrisy behind power and understood the absurdity of war and the powerlessness of the war machine. This paper demonstrates the absurdity of a small person who strives for survival in adversity and opposes rights and systems with stupidity and humor. Shuaike has been chanting: the good life in the madhouse is gone forever. These stupid remarks in the eyes of the world undoubtedly subvert the official definitions of madness and reason, freedom and imprisonment in laughter. It reflects the author Hasek's wish in the Czech background at that time. Before and after World War I, the Czech Republic was always in an irrational era. Although people are forced to participate in this unjust war, many people think they are lofty and great, and people's lives have long been shrouded in the mood of war. Shuaike's intentional or unintentional stupidity and humor, his way of doing things that conforms to the trend of the times but can save himself, and his seemingly absurd behavior let people see the wit and flexibility of little people's survival. I think, what's the real significance of Xie Ke's playing the fool to write A Good Soldier and Handsome? He is stupid and clever.

Shuaike, because of the wrong time and speech, was thrown into absurd situations again and again and got out of the predicament wonderfully; Shuaike, who is simple and humorous in appearance, obedient and easy-going, but rich in inner knowledge and adheres to principles, is a complex contradiction in Xie Shu Ke's works. "Stupid" soldiers are not stupid, which is a kind of "powerlessness". Such a handsome guy reminds me of an idiom of China, "No matter how clever a person is, he is stupid". As Milan Kundera, a world-class novelist, said: The "ultimate absurdity" that Hasek showed us from his own external history belongs not only to Prague in the Czech Republic, but also to the whole world. In fact, The Good Soldier is the first book written by a Czech writer that I have ever read. I believe this is only the beginning of my entry into world literature!

I bought a lot of books to read this summer vacation. One of them is called "The Elite Handsome". This book was written by a Czech writer: Asia? Hasek's masterpiece. Unfortunately, before the book was finished, death forced the great writer to be silent forever.

This book is about: the Czech soldier Shuaike, who was made by machine, took part in World War I and made people laugh in the team. He can talk to his boss skillfully and deal with him as he deals with you. Exposed the darkness of the officers and the hatred of the Czech people against the rulers.

In this book, Shuaike's funny performances, simple mind and his tolerant qualities. That means Shuaike is a good man. However, Shuaike's heart is kind. He can go through fire and water for the Czech people, but those hateful officers laugh at Shuaike's appearance to cover up their darkness and think Shuaike is an ignorant idiot.

Now, I have finished reading "The Elite Handshake". In this book, Shuaike died, but the image of Shuaike will always stand in my heart. I want to learn from Shuaike and learn to be a kind, fair, honest and tolerant person!
