What is the ranking of rural generations?

It is discussed by one or several prestigious people in the family, or decided by a formal genealogy meeting.

The ranking form is either a sentence in a scripture, or a couplet or poem written now, but it is often written when the genealogy is renewed after it is used up.

Generally speaking, the words in the middle of each generation of male names can't be used by women in ranking poems. Entering the new society, especially after the twentieth century, the consciousness of the ranking generation is getting weaker and weaker.

Ming Taizu listed a 20-word generational list for each son, and named him in turn, starting with his grandson.
