Although Wang Yangming was far from persistent in Buddhism, Taoism and Buddhism had a subtle influence on him later. Even what Wang Yangming said when he persuaded the Zen master was virtually consistent with some Buddhist theories.

This influence reached the later stage, that is, Wang Yangming's remarks against Buddhism were partly in line with Buddhism. For example, Wang Yangming once said: "The Buddha abandoned his human relations in his later years in order to understand his so-called my heart, but he didn't know that physics was my heart, so he left it if he couldn't get it."

Among them, "I don't know that physics is my heart." According to the ultimate teachings of Buddhism, there is nothing outside the heart. As the Shurangama Sutra says, "I don't know there are mountains and rivers outside. Saltiness is a wonderful and real thing.
