In ancient times, there was a post of "suggestion". What is the relationship between the "imperial teacher" and the emperor's teacher?

Ming Di is a very special political group. This was determined by the political system of the Ming Dynasty. After the founding emperor Zhu Yuanzhang killed the prime minister Hu, he was worried about losing his political power and abolished the prime minister system forever. The emperor directly manages state affairs and leads his ministers. Without the prime minister, the emperor became very busy.

Zhu Yuanzhang then found several consultants to help him in Wenyuan Pavilion, which is the origin of the cabinet. The original cabinet was actually a secretariat, and the person with the longest rank was only five. However, those selected must be well-read people recognized by Shilin. Later, anyone who entered the cabinet as an assistant minister must first obtain the title of a university student.

The imperial examination system in Ming Dynasty was the main way to select officials. Every time you pass the examination, about 20 young talents will be selected to continue their studies in the Hanlin Academy. The selected person is called Jishi Shu, and the duration of further study is generally two years. Excellent people stay in imperial academy as lecturers, ci ministers and historians. This lecturer is the one who teaches the emperor.

However, not all lecturers have the status of royal teachers. The so-called imperial teacher is usually the teacher of the prince first. Anyone who is made a prince will automatically gain the status of Chu Jun.

The Ming Dynasty attached great importance to Chu Jun's education. The official position of managing the prince is called Master Zhan, and in parallel with it is Zuo Chunfang, which is a yamen dedicated to managing the education of the prince. Three types of civil servants under the jurisdiction of imperial academy, namely, speaking officials, ci officials and historians, are all eligible to be elected as the Prince's Division. Anyone who is chosen as a teacher of the Prince will be regarded as a "storage".

Whenever the emperor died and the prince ascended the throne, he usually used his own teacher as an assistant minister or even a record. Although the cabinet of the Ming Dynasty was originally created as a secretariat, it has basically become the administrative center of the country since the late Yongle period, especially after Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty.

Its power and status are above six ministries, and the cabinet record has actually become a prime minister without the title of prime minister. Therefore, apart from the Hongwu and Yongle dynasties, most of the experiences of the Ming emperors are clear, and the order is: Jishi Shu-a civil servant of the Imperial Academy-a prince teacher-an emperor teacher-a cabinet college student.
