What level of immortal is Jigong?

Jigong's position in Taoism is the level of Buddha, so Jigong must be selective. It is said that when Jigong was born, Luohan, the "dragon-descending" of Lingyin Temple, suddenly fell down. It is rumored that Jigong was reincarnated as eighteen arhats. Jigong has done countless good deeds, such as punishing black-hearted businessmen, helping innocent women and punishing unfilial people.

He looks crazy because of his broken hat, broken fan, shoes and dirty clothes. He first became a monk in the National Assembly Temple, then lived in Lingyin Temple, and then in Jingci Temple. Uncontrolled by precepts, he likes wine and meat, and acts crazy, but he is a learned monk who is good at doing good and accumulating virtue. It is listed as the fiftieth ancestor of Zen Buddhism and the sixth ancestor of Yangqi School. Jigong knows Chinese medicine and has cured many intractable diseases for the people.

Jigong's family background

Yongning village is outside the north gate of the ancient city, and Jigong's family lives by the Zhexi River. Although Jigong Li's family is not prosperous, it is a noble family in Tiantai because of its wealth. A large field on the west coast of Zhejiang belongs to this family, and people also call it Li Guyang. Zhexi River, which originated in Beishan Yu, is a good place for Jigong to watch floating rice, fish, swim and play when he was a child.

There is Longxi Garden beside the stone wall. In ancient times, it was the private manor of Li Jigong, and the Martyrs' Temple was also set up here during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. Jigong's ancestral home changed with the years and finally disappeared. It's natural that people in hometown in past dynasties respected the public and were virtuous and sexy. They have repeatedly built memorial places such as Jigong Buddhist Temple, Jigong Pavilion and Stone Bridge in the ruins, hoping to re-emphasize the sacred relics of the living Buddha and show the virtue of Jigong.
