Confucius Temple is a group of large-scale ancient buildings, including Zhaobi, Chi Pan, Paifang, Juxing Court, Kuixing Pavilion, Lingxingmen, Dacheng Hall, Mingdetang and Zunjing Pavilion.

Confucius Temple, with its rich architectural style in Ming and Qing Dynasties, has become an important scenic spot in Shili Qinhuai Scenic Belt. It takes Dacheng Hall as the center, the north and south are on the same axis, and the left and right buildings are symmetrical, covering an area of about 26,300 square meters.

Gong Xue

The former "Southeast No.1 School" Gate Square is located in the north of Dacheng Hall Back Street, including Mingdetang, Zunjing Pavilion, Qingyun Tower, Chongsheng Temple and other ancient buildings.

Dachengmen

When you enter Lingxing Gate, you will face Dacheng Gate. Confucius made a comprehensive work on the ancient culture of China, and this gate was named Dacheng. Stone lions stand in front of the door, and the corner doors are opened left and right.

Heiweipai

Located tens of meters southwest of Confucius Temple, it is a quiet and narrow alley, which was once the former residence of Wang Dao and Xie An, famous figures in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. According to the records in Ding Jing Jiankangzhi (Volume 16) and Danyang Ji in Song Dynasty, this place was originally the location of Wuyi Camp during the Three Kingdoms period, hence the name.

Central temple

There are eight ginkgo trees in the courtyard, and the ancient lights are symmetrical. A straight stone tunnel in the middle leads to Danyong in front of Dacheng Hall, which is the place where music and dance are held when offering sacrifices to Confucius. In the middle stands a bronze statue of Confucius, which is 4.18m high and weighs 2500kg. This is the largest bronze statue of Confucius in China.

Chi Pan

The pool in front of Confucius Temple is generally called "Chi Pan". Lu Palace is located on the Panshui River. In the Zhou dynasty, "the emperor's learning is harmony, and the vassal's learning is pan" has become a habit along the river.
