General usage of bangzi

The bangzi used in different plays is not the same. Each has its own traditions, and different bangzi will make different sounds. Some plays have different plots, so they don't always use one kind of bangzi, but also take turns to use it.

There are usually ordinary bangzi. This kind of bangzi is a piece of red wood the size of a cylinder brick, with grooves carved on both sides, with a slightly higher sound on one side and a slightly lower sound on the other side, which is generally used;

There is also a kind of red solid wood bangzi, which has two pieces of solid wood, the big one is similar to a calligrapher's paperweight, and the other one is like a rolling pin wrapped in jiaozi. When it is tapped lightly, it gives off a crisp' rigid sound', which is often used in Hebei Bangzi and Henan Bangzi;
