What season is longan?

Longan is a summer fruit, which usually ripens between July and August. It will be listed earlier, and it will be listed around June. There are many varieties of it, and different varieties have different time to market. For example, longan in Thailand generally ripens in late May, while Wulongling ripens in early September.

Longan can be planted in spring and autumn, and the best time is February-March, when the survival rate is the highest, which is more suitable for planting in southern China, and the fruit matures in July-August.

Longan originated in China, mainly planted in East China, Fujian, Guangxi, Yunnan, Taiwan Province, Hainan and other provinces, and will be listed in large quantities in July and August.

Selection method of longan:

1, look at the color, khaki is better! This longan has plenty of sunshine, plenty of water and sweet taste! If the peel of longan is found to be blue, it means that longan is not mature enough. Then there is the longan, which is not so sweet.

2, look at the shape, the big longan has more water, but it is not so sweet. Small longan has less water and poor taste. The correct way is to choose a uniform size.

Then look at the branches. Generally speaking, longan is picked with some branches, and the tied longan is fresher. Scrape the branches of longan with your nails. If the light green endothelium is exposed, it is fresh longan. If you touch it, it will stay for a long time. Purchase is not recommended.

3. pinch hard. Pinch longan with your hand when you buy it. If you pinch the longan shell gently, it will dry. This kind is not fresh. If you can't pinch it or pinch it hard, this kind is relatively fresh and can be bought.

Then there is a fragrance, fresh longan, with a faint fragrance. If you smell musty or sour, it must be bad and stale.
