Is it true that the monks in Songzhuang Temple?

But we can judge whether a monk is an orthodox monk or whether a temple is an orthodox Buddhist temple, rather than a commercially controlled temple, according to the following phenomena:

1. Does the temple accept tickets? Every temple that accepts tickets has a discount. Preferential treatment does not necessarily mean commercial control, because considering the jurisdiction of the Cultural Relics Bureau, the Religious Affairs Bureau, the Tourism Bureau and even the Garden Bureau, it is reasonable to charge a certain maintenance fee for such an old temple.

2. Does the temple emphasize high fragrance? Shanggaoxiang itself is a bad habit of commercial temples. To respect Buddha, three sticks of incense are enough. The emphasis on being superior to others deviates from the purpose of Buddhism.

3. Are the temples full of geomantic fortune tellers? Even monks are involved. I won't tell you about Buddhism, I'll tell you about good and bad luck. How much is this incense and that incense? -If this happens, you can leave after worshipping Buddha. The Buddha is a true Buddha, but I'm afraid there is a big problem with its permanent residence. This serious phenomenon means that unorthodox temples can be avoided.

4. Did the monks or laymen in the temple take the initiative to ask you for money and property? If there is, you can worship Buddha and leave. This is far from the purpose of Buddhism, and it is certain that this is a commercial temple.

5. Is the monk major in the temple? Wear a dress to work during the day and take it off at night? If so, resolutely leave. The so-called becoming a monk must meet at least five characteristics: celibacy (this celibacy does not mean not marrying, not falling in love, or even not touching the lust of men and women), vegetarianism, taking the temple as the home, not saving money and stocks, and devoting oneself to the Buddhist cause for life, not to mention observing the precepts (if all men become monks, there are 250; Female monk, when there are 348)?
