The dialect spoken by people in Guangde County, Anhui Province has changed from the original birthplace of immigrants. It cannot be said that it belongs to Central Plains Mandarin or Southwest Mandarin. In fact, there is no pure Guangde dialect. It can only be said that Henan dialect and Hubei dialect are mixed together to form a unique Guangde dialect, collectively known as Guangde dialect.

Guangde dialect consists of six dialects:

Mandarin Henan dialect-Central Plains Mandarin.

Most of the people who speak Henan dialect moved into the county from Guangshan, Luoshan, Shangcheng and Gushi counties in Henan. At first, it accounted for about four-tenths of the county's population and was the most powerful dialect in the county.

Hubei dialect-southwest mandarin.

Immigrants who originally spoke Hubei dialect accounted for about three-tenths of the county's population. Most of them come from Jingmen, Zhongxiang, Xiaogan and Nanzhang. Its language power is second only to Henan dialect, and it is the second largest dialect in the county.

Jianghuai Mandarin Wu Dialect Old Guangde Dialect-Taihu Wu Dialect.

Old Guangde dialect refers to the words spoken by Guangde aborigines. Some of those who said this were survivors who lived in the ravine in those days, and some who moved back from other places to settle down after the war. Their total number is less than one tenth of the population of the county.

Today, they live in Ganxigou in Lucun Township, Li Xiaoyu and Dahongbao in Taoshan Township, Da Yue in Tanyang Township, Cherry Chong and Qiu Village, Chen Song and Gaomiao in Tongxi Township.

Wenzhou dialect-Wu dialect in Oujiang film.

Mainly Wenzhou people who moved into this county from Zhejiang and other provinces. It is mainly distributed in Ludong and Jiandong of Singapore Airlines, Sujue Temple of Shuanghe and Zhuwan Village of Dushan.

Pujiang dialect-Wuzhou dialect.

Pujiang people moved into the county one after another, and most of them were located in remote mountain villages such as Tan Yang, Wan Yue and Shigu. After 1958, Zhejiang Province built mines in Dushan, Singapore Airlines and other places in Guangde. Most of the workers and their families in the mining area were from Zhejiang and spoke Wu dialect.

After more than 100 years of mutual integration of Guangde, these different dialects have changed to varying degrees and combined into one of the essences of modern Guangde culture: Guangde dialect.
