Brief introduction of Wang Bo New District:

In Maanshan City, Anhui Province, a modern and beautiful new city-Wang Bo New District was born. Wang Bo New District is a scientific decision made by Maanshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to speed up industrial transfer and build a modern metropolis. The 12th meeting of the 7th session of Ma 'anshan Municipal Committee put forward the implementation of "1255" urban development strategy, developing Wang Bo, Danyang and Xinshi as a group, and making every effort to build an independent sub-district closely connected with the main city-Wang Bo New District, which is the most rare opportunity in the development history of the three towns in Wang Bo New District, and also the need for Ma 'anshan to integrate into the Yangtze River Delta and build a modern metropolis.

Wang Bo New District is located in the easternmost part of Maanshan City, Anhui Province, in the Yangtze River Delta economic circle and Nanjing one-hour metropolitan area, bordering Jiangning, Lishui and Gaochun counties in Jiangsu Province, and echoing Nanjing Airport New City and Tang Zhe New City from afar. It is an important gateway for Anhui Province to the developed areas in the Yangtze River Delta, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. The traffic in the new area is very convenient, surrounded by Ning 'an Intercity Railway, Jiang Yan Expressway, Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway and Yangtze River Golden Waterway. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. It belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The natural conditions in the territory are superior and the products are very rich. The three towns under its jurisdiction are ancient towns with a history of thousands of years, and they all have rich cultural heritage and numerous human landscapes. Existing historical sites in Wang Bo include Xilin Temple, Dawang Temple, Hengshan Shimen Stone Carving, Chengxin Temple, Yejiaqiao, Danyang Old Furnace, Lingguang Temple and Longquan Temple. Huangmei Opera's famous drama "Fairy Couple" is based on Danyang, and Dongshan Village is the legendary hometown of Yong Dong.

Ma 'anshan City Master Plan (2002-2020) (revised in 2009) established the urban system structure of 1 central city, 2 sub-cities and 5 central towns, among which Wang Bo sub-city is one of the 2 sub-cities. The "1255" urban spatial development strategy put forward by Maanshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government further clarified the strategic requirements for building Wang Bo as a sub-city.

Based on the above requirements and the spirit of the speeches of the relevant leaders of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, this plan has made some explorations in the preparation method. That is, from the traditional planning content, the key points are highlighted, and the problems such as the site selection, the development scale based on the carrying capacity of resources and environment, the spatial layout, and the configuration of public facilities, roads and municipal infrastructure in Wang Bo are solved in a targeted manner. At the same time, business land such as commercial finance is not subdivided and compulsory, and industrial land such as industry, warehousing and creative research and development is unified into industrial land, leaving enough flexibility, which dilutes these related contents led and regulated by market economy.

This plan focuses on the concentrated construction area of Wang Bo's sub-city, and the planning, management and construction of urban and rural overall planning, protection and utilization of historical and cultural resources within the planning research scope should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of Maanshan City Master Plan (2002-2020) (revised in 2009), Maanshan City Urban and Rural Integration Development Plan and other related plans, which is also not the key content of this plan.

The planning was started on March 20 10, and the planning results were reported to the planning authorities of Wang Bo Town, Danyang Town and New Town Governments in Maanshan City and the main leaders of Maanshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. After revision and improvement, it passed the expert review on July 20 10.

Planning and research scope: Based on Danbo Economic Zone, including Wang Bo Town, Danyang Town and Xincheng, the total area is about 33 1.98 square kilometers, accounting for (1686) 19.7% of the total area of the city.

Planning area: east and north of the junction of Maanshan City and Jiangning District of Nanjing City; South to Shijiu Lake; West to the west of Danyang Town, Danyang Xinhe Army Reclamation Area. The total planned area is about 20 1. 12 square kilometers. (Planning area: the area where urban construction is concentrated at present, and the area where the sub-city develops as a whole in the future, planning control must be implemented. )
