Is Tunxi Old Street in Anhui interesting? Anhui Tunxi Old Street Travel Guide

Tunxi Old Street does not represent a street. This is an old street with many streets. Speaking of the old street, it is really old, and you can still see the shadow of the original Huizhou architecture. Besides, that's actually a piece bought by buybuy. Souvenirs and food are sold on several streets. You can come and have a look before you leave Anhui.

Why do you want to introduce Tunxi Old Street here separately? Because this place is the most popular scenic spot in Huangshan city, there is no one. The reason is also because there is no need for tickets. It is an old street integrating food, specialties and entertainment. There is also a saying that every city has an old street for foreigners. Yes, it is Tunxi Old Street in Huangshan City. Just kidding, Tunxi Old Street was much more prosperous than it is today. Friends who travel to Huangshan will stop at Tunxi, so it is convenient to have a meal at Tunxi Old Street.

Tunxi Old Street is located in the central area of Tunxi District, Huangshan City, with a total length of 1272 meters, facing the water in the north and the sea in the south. It includes a straight street, three small streets (I call them No.1, No.2 and No.3) and eighteen alleys. The whole street consists of more than 300 Huizhou-style buildings built in different ages, which are distributed in a fish skeleton shape, narrow in the west and wide in the east. Tunxi Old Street is located at the intersection of Hengjiang River, Lvshui River and Xin 'anjiang River, so it is also called the flowing "Riverside Scene on Qingming Festival". It is the most complete preserved ancient market in China with the architectural style of Southern Song Dynasty and Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it is also the "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit" in China. In 2009, Tunxi Old Street, together with Guozijian Street in Beijing and Pingjiang Road in Suzhou, was selected as "China Famous Historical and Cultural Street".

Personally, I think visiting Tunxi Old Street is dispensable. Different from Yiwu goods in other places, Tunxi Old Street has its own characteristics. Almost all the specialties of Huangshan Mountain can be found in this street, such as tea, mountain products, Four Treasures of the Study, Huizhou Four Carvings and so on. There are stalls selling Huangshan sesame cakes everywhere, all claiming to be freshly baked sesame cakes, but how many can really do it? I remember when I was a child, the sesame seed cake was quite big and full of stuffing. It's getting smaller and smaller now, but several other flavors of sesame cakes have also been developed. My favorite is the crab shell yellow of dried plum.

I have been in Yunnan for 5 years and have walked through many ancient cities. You will find that many ancient cities are very similar, such as Yiwu small commodities, leisure bars and restaurants. I have to say, as a local, I have been going to Laojie for some time. Every time I go to some shops that show Huizhou culture, I will stop to see and learn. Often there are mysteries in some shops, and good things are hidden in the depths.

There are also many people who say Tunxi Old Street is too commercialized. In fact, this old street was a bustling commercial street in ancient times, and the scene now is far less than that of that year. During the Anti-Japanese War, many government departments in Shanghai moved here. (digression, Huizhou mountainous area was also a place to avoid disasters in ancient times. Little Japan did not enter Huizhou, so that many ancient buildings and folk customs were preserved. At that time, all kinds of commodities operated by Huizhou merchants were shipped here for sale, so many centuries-old brands were preserved here. Because of this, this is a good place for everyone to accompany. At the same time, you can also taste authentic Huizhou cuisine in various colors. At this time, I can remind you that you might as well go in and have a look. The store is still happy to have some exchanges with you, and you can learn a lot of cultural details.

If you are interested in Huizhou culture, I recommend you to visit Tunxi Museum, which is open to the public free of charge before 5 pm:

The basic exhibition of Tunxi Museum is placed in two main exhibition halls, which are open to tourists for a long time. Huizhou Brick Carving Art Exhibition, Huizhou Portrait Exhibition and Ming and Qing Furniture Exhibition mainly show the audience Huizhou Brick Carving Art, Painting Art and Ancient Furniture Art, as well as the customs, rules and ethics of ancient Huizhou, which have typical charm of ancient Huizhou art.

There is also a four-person Wancui Building at the entrance of Luzhong Street, which is charged. There are some nice old Huizhou objects in it, which are worth visiting if you are interested.

There are many shops in online celebrities. I haven't eaten them, so I won't introduce them here. No.2 bar fengqing street, the bar here has no feeling at all. Basically, they are places to listen to light music and chat. What I have to mention here is the antique street on the No.1 road. There is a so-called antique ghost market every Wednesday night and Thursday morning. On Wednesday night, some booths will be set up and then withdrawn. The next morning was very lively. Of course, friends with eyes can look for some gadgets. Because I don't know how to do it, I don't want to say anything, just be happy.

It is worth reminding that some antique shops in the old street, or shops selling valuables, should not be deceived. I can hardly find it here, but it's ok to have a look.
