The Historical Evolution of Lujiang County

"Lujiang", the name of a river that first appeared in Shan Hai Jing Hai Nei Dong Jing, is still inconclusive. After the county was named after the river, the county was named after the county, which continues to this day. Lujiang, also known as Qianchuan, began in the Southern Liang Dynasty (Liang Shu, Shu Wei terrain).

Today, the land of Lujiang belonged to Shu in the Spring and Autumn Period, to Chu in the Warring States Period, to Yi Shu in the Qin Dynasty and to Shu Xian in the Han Dynasty. Lujiang County was founded in the early Western Han Dynasty. The name "Lujiang County" began in the Sui Dynasty (Geography of Sui Shu), and the other one began in the Southern Dynasties (The Jade Ring of Taiping). The time difference between the two theories is only a few decades. After the establishment of Lujiang County, many changes have taken place in the subordinate relationship and region.

In June 1947 and September 1 1, the 24th Regiment of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army of the China People's Liberation Army captured Lujiang County and established the Lujiang Democratic County Government, which was revoked after the troops were transferred at the end of the month. At the end of the same year, the government of Tonglu Democratic County was established in the south of Lunan and the northeast township of Tongcheng, and the government of Huxi Democratic County was also established in Lujiang.

Tonglu and Huxi counties belong to the Second Anhui Commissioner's Office (located in Tongcheng). 1August, 948, Huxi County was divided into Lujiang County and Huxi County. Xinhuxi County belongs to Wanxi Fourth Commissioner's Office (opened in Wuwei), and Lujiang County still belongs to the Second Department.

1June 22, 949, the whole territory of Lujiang was liberated, and Lujiang and Tonglu counties belonged to Tongcheng area. In February, the southern part of the original Lujiang River in Tonglu County belonged to Lujiang River. In July, Huxi County merged into Lujiang River and was placed in Chaohu Lake area in northern Anhui.

February 4 1952 Lujiang County belongs to Wuhu District, Anhui Province.

July 7 1958 Lujiang County was transferred from Wuhu District to Lu 'an District.

1965, 14 In July, Chaohu District was established (specially set up as Chaoxian County), and Lujiang County was transferred from Lu 'an to Chaohu District. 1971On August 29th, Chaohu area was renamed Chaohu area, and Lujiang belonged to it.
