Where is Shui Sheng Temple?

Shui Sheng Temple is located in Tazishan Scenic Area on the right bank of Fujiang River in the west of Mianyang City. Since ancient times, it has been famous for its spring water. Formerly known as "Ganquan Temple". Its history can be traced back to the years of Tang Yonghui (650-655 AD), and it has been 1300 years. It can be called one of the ancient temples with a long history in northwest Sichuan.

Shui Sheng Temple stands along the central axis, including the Heavenly King Hall, Guanyin Hall, Great Compassion Hall, Wei Tuo Hall and Daxiong Hall. Jade Buddha Hall, Dizang King Hall, Sai-jo Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Wuguantang, THE TEMPLE OF JIALAN Hall, Bell and Drum Tower and the newly-built Buddhist Scripture Building on both sides are magnificent. The total construction area is 14745 square meters.

Over the past 1000 years, Shui Sheng Temple has been promoted and abolished several times. Since 1980s, Master Guo Ren, a famous monk in Mianyang, and Master Chang Ming, a senior disciple, have led the masses of believers successively. With the strong support of the religious departments of the government, the ancient Shui Sheng Temple in Zhongxing started from scratch and raised funds by itself in the spirit of selfless dedication. After more than 20 years of unremitting efforts, this thousand-year-old temple has taken on a new look.
