Basic situation of Pengnan town

Pengnan Town is located at the southern tip of Pengxi County, in the center of two provinces and cities (Sichuan and Chongqing), three cities (Suining, Nanchong and Guang 'an) and five counties (Tongnan, Hechuan, Vu Thang, Jialing and Pengxi), with an area of 88.6 square kilometers. It is the material distribution center of 20 neighboring towns bordering east Sichuan and west Chongqing, with a trade radiation area of 450 square kilometers and a population of over one million. Convenient transportation, Peng () Yu (Chongqing) Road and Sui (Ning) Wu (Sheng) Road run through the whole territory, and rural roads extend in all directions. Pengnan, collectively known as Pengnan Town, is located in the southeast of Pengxi County, Suining City, Sichuan Province. Pengxi is the second largest town with a population of about 70,000. Because it is at the southernmost tip of Pengxi County, it is called Pengnan Town. Pengnan Town is 67 kilometers away from Pengxi County and 52 kilometers away from Suining. The neighboring cities are Long Ren, Tongnan, Suining, Hesha, Hechuan and Chicheng. It is not only the important town of Pengxi, but also one of the key small towns in Sichuan Province (there are three key small towns in Pengxi County), which is extremely important to Pengxi, Suining and Sichuan.

1995, Pengnan Town was listed as one of the pilot small towns at the provincial level 100, and was listed as one of the 50 key small towns in the province in 2003.
