Interim Measures of the Chinese Taoist Association for the Administration of Taoist Scattered Education

(1revised and adopted by the Sixth Congress on August 24th, 998)

Article 1 In order to strengthen the management of scattered Orthodox Christians, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of scattered Orthodox Christians, promote the normalization of religious activities and contribute to social stability, these Interim Measures are formulated in accordance with the national constitution, relevant policies, laws and regulations and the articles of association of this Association.

Article 2 The Taoist Orthodox Church is the general name of three schools: Longhu Mountain, Maoshan Mountain and Ge jujube hill. Diaspora orthodox Taoism refers to Taoist teachers who are scattered in cities, towns or villages rather than living in temples.

The third orthodox Taoist must:

(1) Support the leadership of China and the socialist system.

(2) The scattered Orthodox monks should consciously safeguard social stability and national unity, love their country and religion, abide by the law, and actively participate in the construction of socialist two civilizations.

(3) Believing in the three treasures of "Tao, Classics and Teacher" has a mentoring relationship and a pure belief.

(5) be able to engage in the daily rituals of Zhengyi School.

(6) Abide by the rules and regulations of orthodox schools.

Article 4 The scattered Orthodox Christians shall be assessed, examined and identified by the local Taoist organizations at or above the county level in strict accordance with the provisions of Article 3, and reported to the religious affairs department of the people's government at or above the county level for approval, and the local Taoist organizations shall issue certificates. Taoist certificates are made by the Chinese Taoist Association.

Article 5 Diaspora Orthodox Christians shall participate in religious activities in Taoist activity places (including Quanzhen Taoist concept and activity points) registered and opened by the government according to law. Without approval, no religious activity place or activity place may be established without authorization.

The scattered Orthodox monks shall, under the leadership of local Taoist organizations and with the approval of the religious affairs department of the people's government at or above the county level (including the county level), determine the activity points in pieces, establish and improve various rules and regulations, and strengthen management.

Article 6. According to the standard of the orthodox school, there are ceremonies such as chanting, doing homework in the morning and evening, giving lectures, burning incense, and fasting the Dojo. According to the traditional custom of Taoism, religious believers must obtain the consent of local Taoist organizations when they invite Taoist priests to their homes for religious activities of mourning and mourning. The scale, time and frequency of activities shall be based on the principle of not affecting social order, production order and life order.

Article 7 The scattered Orthodox Taoist priests and their Taoist organizations may accept charitable donations from religious believers and unconditional donations from overseas organizations and individuals for maintaining religious activities and educational activities of Taoist organizations. However, it is not allowed to ask religious believers and foreigners for property for any reason or form.

Eighth scattered orthodox Taoism should pay a certain fee to Taoist organizations, and the specific measures shall be formulated by Taoist organizations in various places. Its religious income is mainly used to maintain religious activities, carry out educational activities and hold social welfare undertakings.

Article 9 Taoist organizations shall promptly stop the illegal activities of exiled orthodox monks and criticize and educate the parties concerned. If the circumstances are serious or refuse to change after repeated education, they shall withdraw their orthodox Taoist certificates and report them to the relevant government departments for handling.

Article 10 These Measures were revised by the Sixth Congress and implemented on1September 1998.

Article 11 The Chinese Taoist Association shall be responsible for the interpretation of these Measures.
