Dazhen Kampo A: What we know and understand now is that cause and effect are not complete. When you don't quite understand, the cause and effect are very complicated and it is difficult to choose. When you really understand, cause and effect are not complicated and it is not difficult to choose.
What is true understanding? First, the premise of choosing causality is to be convinced of the six divisions in causal reincarnation. We have not fully believed in reincarnation, and the cause and effect we know is not the third cause and effect, so it is difficult to fully understand the cause of cause and effect, to have real confidence in cause and effect, and to really choose cause and effect. Second, we should have the convenience and wisdom to choose cause and effect. We don't have this kind of convenience and wisdom yet, so it is difficult to distinguish cause and effect and grasp it.
In fact, you have got the cause and effect thoroughly, settled and wise. It is not difficult to choose cause and effect. Different levels have different standards of good and evil. If it is the Hinayana level, we can choose the cause and effect according to the Hinayana standard of good and evil. If it is Mahayana level, we can choose cause and effect according to the standard of good and evil of Mahayana; If we reach the level of secret multiplication, we can choose cause and effect according to the standard of good and evil in secret multiplication. In addition, if you are in the ordinary stage, choose cause and effect according to the ordinary standards of good and evil; If it is the bodhisattva stage, choose the cause and effect according to the standards of good and evil in the bodhisattva stage. Buddha has completed, and there is no need to choose cause and effect; Even if the Buddha chooses cause and effect, it is also an expression and is for all beings.
We talk about cause and effect, some of which are evil on the surface, but in fact they are good; Some are seemingly good, but in fact they are evil. The Buddha talked about four kinds of people, all of which are about cause and effect. "cooked inside and unfamiliar outside" means that the heart is clean and the appearance is not clean; "Uncooked inside and cooked outside" means that the heart is not clean and the surface is very clean; "cooked inside and cooked outside" means clean inside and clean outside; "Unfamiliar outside, unfamiliar inside" means dirty inside and dirty outside. These four kinds of people have to understand before they can choose such a cause and effect.
You don't understand these, you can generalize. Hinayana and Mahayana, Xianzong and Tantric are all confused. If the level is different, it is difficult to choose. Or it's hard to choose.
The Buddha said: "Even after hundreds of robberies, the karma will not go out, and the karma will still be bitter. Karma is reported in the present world and the afterlife, and there are many things that will be reported in the next life. These are not easy to master. Especially subtle cause and effect, it is difficult for others to master except Buddha. So it is not easy to understand the cause and effect. We are still in the basic learning stage, so it is enough to understand cause and effect and choose cause and effect. Keep studying and practicing in this way, and you will gradually understand more thoroughly and clearly.
