Jujube planting has always been an important industry in Zanhuang County. With the joint efforts of several generations, the jujube industry has developed rapidly. Especially since 2003, the county has combined the development of jujube industry with the county's poverty alleviation. Based on the leading seedling industry in Zanhuang County, three new varieties, Zanjing, Zanfeng and Zanyu, were cultivated and popularized in the county. Through policy mobilization, typical drive, interest drive and publicity drive, the enthusiasm of the people in the county to develop jujube gardens has been further improved, and the scale of jujube gardens has been continuously expanded. The planting area of jujube orchards in the county has reached 450,000 mu. It accounts for a quarter of the county's land area, and the output of red dates is 1. 1 100 million kilograms. Zanhuang County has established a cooperative service organization for farmers: Zanhuang Jujube Association to serve Zanhuang jujube farmers in the market and inject new vitality into the construction of Zanhuang Jujube Garden. More than 800 individual jujube processing households in the county jointly established six professional production cooperatives, and the professional cooperative organizations represented by Rong Kang Jujube Industry Cooperative actively applied for QS9000 standard certification, unified packaging and unified production standards, which promoted the industrial upgrading of Zanhuang Jujube. Up to 20 10, 62 jujube processing enterprises in the county have obtained food production license (QS certification), with an annual processing capacity of 60,000 tons. It has achieved 430,000 mu of environmental protection certification for pollution-free fruits, and launched a series of products such as dried jujube, jujube, donkey-hide gelatin jujube, Cantonese-style candied jujube, golden silk candied jujube and jujube wine. Our products have entered Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other markets, and exported to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and other countries, which are favored by consumers from all walks of life.

Zanhuang county actively implements the development strategy in different places. Taking advantage of the geographical location and special climatic conditions in Xinjiang, the office of Zanhuang County People's Government in Xinjiang was established in Aksu City, Xinjiang in 2007. Taking jujube as the medium, the exchanges and cooperation between the two places in seedling supply and marketing, fruit tree management, labor export and jujube sales have been strengthened, and Xinjiang has been effectively regarded as the second hometown of Zanhuang jujube, laying a solid foundation for Zanhuang jujube production in different places and economic win-win between the two places.
