History of Cheng Zhengzhen

Cheng Zheng Town was named after Zheng Xuan's annotation of the Book of Filial Piety.

Zheng Xuan (127 ~ 200) was born in Gaomi, Beihai (now gaomi city, Shandong) in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The master of Confucian classics in Han Dynasty, an outstanding philologist and educator, is known as "the master of Confucian classics".

Kangcheng Stone Chamber Site is located in Chengnan Mountain, southwest of Nanwucheng Ancient Town, Pingyi County. This is a limestone cave with an area of about 5 square meters.

In the sixth year of Zhong Ping (189), Zheng Xuan avoided chaos and merged with Xuzhou and Cheng Nan. Today, Chengzheng Town and Weizhuang Township of Pingyi County belong to Nancheng County and Donghai County of Xuzhou City. "Qi Cheng? Zhengxuan No.1 Pass is located in Kangcheng Village. After Zheng Xuan's death, Cheng Nan buried his books and clothes at 1.5 km north of Cheng Zheng Town. This tomb is 3m high and10m in diameter. It is made of yellow sand and mud. The local villagers called it "Zheng Xuan grave", and the village name was changed to "Zheng Xuan grave village", which was later misrepresented as "Zhengxianfen village". In A.D. 1980, the village was named "Kangcheng Village" after Zheng Xuanzhi. According to legend, after Zheng Xuan's death, several disciples set up tents in front of Zheng Xuan's tomb to observe filial piety for three years, and planted willows and pines to show their farewell and show their love for the teacher. The local people also planted a variety of pine trees to show their respect and yearning for Zheng Xuan. A large pine forest was formed around the last pass, and the village west of the first pass was renamed "Songlin Village".

Watch the platform. "Examination of Fei Yi Historic Sites" contains: "The note platform is in the southeast of Wu 'an Village in front of Mengshan Mountain. "In the Qing Dynasty, there was a note on the platform of a palace. "The remains of the platform and palace are gone, but there are still inscriptions. The monument is a flat cuboid, with a height of 1.8m, a width of 0.7m and a thickness of 0.2m. The word "Zhu Jing Tai" is engraved in the official script, with a diameter of 0.3m. This monument is now kept in Pingyi County Museum.

The Reading Desk is located four kilometers southwest of Cheng Zheng Town. There is a mountain called Reading Desk, with an altitude of 460.4 meters. Its top is flat and paved with rocks, and there is a cave at the foot of the mountain, named "Shidong". It is said that this is the place where Zheng Xuan annotated the scriptures.

The square in front of Cheng Zheng Town Government was originally a large earthen platform with a height of 2-3 meters and an area of more than 500 square meters. The local residents called it "lecture platform", which is said to be the place where Zheng Xuan used to gather his disciples to give lectures.

In order to promote history and culture, Cheng Zheng Town Government began to build Zheng Xuan Square, sculpted a 3.6-meter-high statue of Zheng Xuan, and restored Zheng Xuan's tomb according to its original appearance.
