Kang million manor traffic guide
"Kang Million" is a general term for Kang Yingkui's family since Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it is famous all over the world because of the gift from Empress Dowager Cixi. 1900, Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Beijing. Empress Dowager Cixi was forced to flee the capital with Emperor Guangxu and a small number of troops. 190 1 fled to gongyi city, and the gang was at the end of its tether. At this critical moment, Kang Yingkui, the shopkeeper of Kangjia University, donated one million taels of silver to Empress Dowager Cixi and her party, so she was awarded the title of "Kang Million".
Kang Yingkui's family, from the sixth ancestor Kang Shaojing to the eighteenth generation Kang Lanting, has been rich for more than 400 years. In history, more than ten people, such as Kang Dayong, Kang Daoping and Kang Hongyou, were called "Kang Million", among which Kang Yingkui in the middle of Qing Dynasty was the most representative. On the basis of his predecessors, he took advantage of the opportunity of suppressing Anbalism in the Qing Dynasty to "get rich by loyalty". He is richer than three provinces and six rivers, with land of 6.5438+0.8 million mu and countless wealth. People call him "Jingyang, Xi, Linyi, Jinan; Horses run thousands of miles without eating other grass, and people walk thousands of miles near Kangjiatian! "Won for a while.
Kang Million made a fortune by river transportation, land and "contribution", and was rewarded by the emperor for many times, with the highest official reaching the third class and being awarded the title of county magistrate for many times. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Kang Million, Shen Wansan and Ruan were called the three "living gods of wealth" by China people. During the Republic of China, "Liu in the east, Zhang in the west and Lao Kang in the middle" was one of the three richest people in the Central Plains. In the 1960s and 1970s, Kang Million Manor in Henan, Liu Manor in Sichuan and Mouerhei Manor in Shandong were called the three major manors in China. Kang Million Manor, as the first of the three manors, is open to the outside world, causing a sensation in Henan and being famous all over the country.
Kang Million Manor, located 2km away from gongyi city City, is the representative of feudal fortress buildings on the Loess Plateau in northern China in the 17 and18th centuries. /kloc-0 was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit by the Henan provincial people's government in June 1963, and was also announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in June 2000/kloc-0.
In accordance with the traditional culture of "harmony between man and nature, learning from nature", it built caves by the mountain, buildings by the street and docks by the river, and built a large landlord manor with diverse systems, complete functions, careful layout and strict hierarchy, integrating agriculture, politics and commerce. Its stone carving, wood carving and brick carving are known as the wonderful works of Central Plains art. The whole manor consists of 19 parts, covering an area of more than 240 mu. The main preserved areas include ten parts, such as residential area, board house area, workshop area, south yard and ancestral hall area, 33 courtyards, 53 buildings, 97 bungalows and 73 caves, totaling 57 1 room, with a construction area of 64,300 square meters.
Surprisingly, such a huge building complex has only one entrance. Without the guidance of a well-informed passer-by, it is extremely difficult for a stranger to find the exit and meander through the manor, just like walking into a big maze. Different from the houses built by most rich families, Kangjiazhuang's architectural style is unique. Its entrance to the city gate is comparable to that of the ancient city gate, and there are main city walls on both sides of the entrance. There is also a commanding observation deck in the door, modeled after the observation deck of the Great Wall in Beijing. Enter the door, climb the stairs and come to the observation deck. Overlooking the stage, Mangshan Mountain has an unobstructed view, and the gurgling sound of Luoshui in the distance is gradually coming, which can be described as a wonder!
Walking down the stairs is the central area of the manor. Although the outline of the manor is almost intact, it must be in ruins. Now this is a world where children in the village play. The children's bursts of laughter also broke the silent atmosphere from time to time, bringing vitality to the manor. This ancient manor is really a good place for children to hide and seek.
The Kang family is a big family, and it is always full of guests on weekdays. So it is conceivable that Kang's kitchen should be particularly large. Only in this way can we solve the problem of feeding a large population. There are many people working in the kitchen, so it is naturally very lively and noisy. However, its study is next to the kitchen! This is really puzzling. A noisy kitchen and a quiet study actually complement each other. There are two small pavilions and some withered ancient flowers and trees, which invisibly add a bit of sadness to the compound. The decoration of the study is simple and simple, which is in sharp contrast with the luxurious studio and bedroom in the compound.
Out of the study, several houses are the studios. All the furniture here is inlaid with sparkling jewels. The east wall is inlaid with the works of famous calligraphers in Ming and Qing dynasties; A Qing's official uniform and Kang Yingkui's sword commonly used in martial arts are hung on the Western Wall.
On the west side of the study is a mourning hall with ancestral tablets. There are many beautiful shrines and inscriptions about Mr. Zu's death. Masons spend three months carving each stone tablet. What is striking, however, is the pedestal of stone pillars that can be seen everywhere in the manor. The role of stone pillars is to support the roof. This way of building can protect the stone pillars from moisture erosion.
These hexagonal bases are made of crystal stone formed over the years, and flowers and figures are engraved on each face. The most imaginative figure is the carved figure hollowed out in the middle. It seems that the whole stone pillar is supported by them. The figure carving is lively and lovely, and the overall structure is balanced.
There are many stone carvings about folklore stories everywhere in the yard. After hundreds of years of wind and rain, these carvings are still intact, and the fonts and outlines of the carvings are still eye-catching and beautiful. This is due to the meticulous selection of materials.
One of the wonders of Konka Courtyard is in the ordinary living area. There is a cave in the living area where calligraphy and sculpture are concentrated.
This cave is at the westernmost end of the courtyard, and there are 16 adult-high stone tablets engraved with poems praising the owner of the manor on both sides of the cave. Praise his "compassion and kindness" and "generosity", and China's calligraphy with different styles shows its own style here.
Another wonder of the manor is the woodcarving on the cave window. Hollow wood carving gives people a wonderful impression of "looking horizontally, the ridge side becomes a peak, and the distance is different" The master bed is comparable to the dragon bed.
The master bedroom is dominant, the ceiling of the room is painted colorful, and the wood carvings of doors and windows also have their own characteristics. The master's nanmu bed is a beautiful treasure in a million. It was carved by the five most famous woodcarvers in that year for three years. Its beauty and exquisiteness are comparable to the emperor's dragon chair.
Opposite the bed is a wooden cart, with a height of 1 m and a length of 1.5 m, which is used to transport the wives of the manor to the toilet. In those days, women had to tie their feet to prevent them from growing into big feet. However, these three-inch girls can't travel long distances, and the toilet is built in a remote place in the compound, so this wooden cart has become a special means of transportation for picking up and dropping off young ladies and girls in and out of the toilet and dormitory. In front of their bed, there are a few pairs of little shoes with delicate patterns embroidered on their faces.
After several turns, I came to the restaurant. On its right is a square table for eight people. All the tableware on the table: plates, dishes, bowls, etc. It's octagonal. The Kang family is superstitious, believing that life and death depend on fate, and wealth is in the sky, so whenever a fortune teller visits, he must use this tableware to entertain him. They believe that doing so will bring good luck and wealth to the whole family. If a VIP comes to visit, the host of the Kang family will hold a large banquet according to the Manchu-Chinese tradition. On this occasion, 108 tableware is often used.
Although Kang Million Manor looks simple in appearance and lacks the temperament of noble castle, its interior decoration is gorgeous. Today, well-preserved buildings add infinite charm to this ancient manor.
