About the history of Xianning

In the west of Zhou Chengwang (Song Ji) (65438 BC+0030 BC-993 BC), it belonged to the King of Chu and Hubei.

In the twenty-fourth year of Qin Shihuang (223 BC), Chu was divided into four counties, and Jiangnan, where Xi 'an was located, was the southern county.

During the Three Kingdoms period, in the second year of (Cao Pi) (22 1), Sun Quan and the three counties of Jiangxia, Luling in Tokyo were located in Wuchang County, later renamed Jiangxia County, and in the second year of Wu (Sun Quan) (223), Puyin County was located in the southwest of Xishan, and xian county successively belonged to Wuchang County, Jiangxia County and Shaxian County.

Since then, Xianning earth domain name was formally established.

The administrative system of Xianning City is relatively late, but the counties (cities, districts) in the territory have a long history.

Zhou region is Chu, which belongs to South County of Jingzhou and Jiangxia County in Han Dynasty, and belongs to the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

Shaxian County was established in the early Han Dynasty, and Xianning, Jiayu and Puyin belonged to it. Chongyang and Tongcheng belong to Xia County, Nanjun County.

The Three Kingdoms belonged to Wu. In 223 AD, Wu was located in Puyin County.

Yong 'an Town was established in the third year of Tang Daizong Dali (768), Yong 'an County was upgraded in the thirteenth year of Baota in the Southern Tang Dynasty (955), and Xianning County was renamed in the fourth year of Song Jingde (1007).

In 2 1 (1932), Tongshan belonged to the second administrative supervision area of Hubei province, and other counties belonged to the first administrative supervision area.

1August, 983, Xianning County was abolished and Xianning City was established.

1June, 1998, with the approval of the State Council, Puyin was renamed as chibi city.

1998 12.6 with the approval of the State Council, Xianning area and county-level Xianning city were abolished and prefecture-level Xianning city was established.

Xian' an District is established in Xianning City, and the administrative area of Xianning City at the county level is Xian' an District.
