Raoping South Station is located in the southeast of Raoping County, about 3 kilometers away from the center of Raoping County.

Raoping South Station is the planning station of Shantou-Raoping South Section in "Planning of Intercity Railway Network in East Guangdong Area of Urban Agglomeration on the West Side of the Taiwan Strait". The establishment of Raoping South Railway Station will greatly enhance the external transportation links of Raoping County, which is of great significance to the construction of an economic zone with Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the west and the west coast of the Straits in the east.
