Which country is Costa Rica?

The Republic of Costa Rica (Spanish: La Repú blica de Costa Rica), referred to as Costa Rica for short, is a presidential republic in Latin America, bordering Nicaragua in the north and Panama in the south.

Columbus discovered the coast of Costa Rica on his fourth voyage. Since then, Spanish colonists have invaded many times.

1563, the city of cartago was built, and Costa Rica became a Spanish colony and was placed under the jurisdiction of the Guatemalan governor. During the colonial rule, under the cruel slavery and oppression of the Spanish colonists, the Indians were almost wiped out, and there were very few laborers available for slavery. Spaniards have to cultivate small plots of land to produce the agricultural products they need. Costa Rica has long been poor, ignorant and isolated.
