Poyang fortune teller

More than 800 years ago in the Southern Song Dynasty, there was a scholar named Jiang Kui in Poyang, Jiangxi. He is proficient in poetry and versatile. He was one of the three major schools of poetry in Song Dynasty, and he also had profound attainments in music and calligraphy. Jiang Kui's talent has never been seen in his life, and he wandered between Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan and Hubei, making a living by selling words and relying on celebrities, officials and relatives. During his stay in Hefei, he met two sisters who were proficient in pipa and concert guzheng. The two sisters live in the alley on the west side of Chilan Bridge (near Hefei No.8 Middle School on Tongcheng Road). Since then, Jiang Kui has lived in Chilan Bridge, and lived a beautiful and romantic life with his two sisters all day, singing poems and lyrics, and playing the piano (falling in love).

At that time, Hefei was the border town of the Southern Song Dynasty. During the Jinbing Rebellion, Chilan Bridge was destroyed by war, and the pipa sisters disappeared. In his later years, Jiang Kui came to Hefei again in the war, looking for that pair of bosom friends, until he found Chaohu Lake, but there was no sign of the two sisters.

This beautiful love story is pure and touching. Jiang Kui wrote a beautiful poem related to Chilan Bridge, which made people think more about this story and made it spread through the ages. In order to commemorate Jiang Kui and explore the history and culture of Hefei, the relevant departments of Hefei built a row of embossed walls at the northwest corner of the intersection of Tongcheng Road and Wuhu Road, and renamed Tongcheng Road Bridge Chilan Bridge.
