Where is Gao Zu's hometown?

Gao's ancestral home is in today's Gaomi Jiangzhuang.

According to records, the Gaos lived in the Bohai Sea and were famous families from the Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties. At the end of the Jin Dynasty, due to the repeated attacks of the Yuan Army on the Jin Dynasty, the ancestors of Gao family in Gaomi moved to Caoqiao Village in Gaomi, which is now Jiangzhuang, gaomi city.

Interpretation of Gao's Family Analysis

According to legend, Emperor Yan Shennong took Jiang as his surname because he lived in. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Lv Chi, the son of Jiang Taigong VI Sun Wengong, was sealed in Gaoyi (now Yuzhou, Henan Province). Because of his meritorious service in quelling the chaos, he was named Shangqing, and Gao, the son of his grandfather, was named Gao. This is how Gao was born. As the ancestor of Gao, Gao was respected and loved by all previous dynasties.
