Shenyang Beiling is the graveyard of Huang Taiji.

Zhaoling, the tomb of Emperor Taizong, the second founding monarch of the Qing Dynasty, is located in the north of Shengjing (now Shenyang), so it is also called "Beiling". The cemetery covers an area of 6,543,800 square meters.

The layout of the building follows the mausoleum principle of "facing the front and sleeping behind", and it is divided into three parts from south to north: front, middle and back. The main buildings are built on the central axis and symmetrically arranged on both sides.

Zhaoling is the mausoleum of Emperor Taizong, Huang Taiji and Wen Zhengji. Besides the Empress, Zhaoling is also home to many concubines and beautiful women, such as the imperial concubine of Linzhi Palace and Shu Fei of Zhenqing Palace. It is the most representative mausoleum in the early Qing Dynasty and one of the best preserved ancient imperial tombs in China.

Life of Huang taiji

Huang taiji (1592165438+1October 28th-1643 September 2nd1), that is, the reign of Qing Taizong (1626-1) Nurhachi, the eighth son of Aisingiorro, Emperor Taizu of the Qing Dynasty, was an outstanding strategist and politician in the early Qing Dynasty, the second great Khan in the late Jin Dynasty, a Mongolian great Khan, and the founding emperor of the Qing Dynasty.

In the first year of Chongde (1636), he proclaimed himself emperor in Shengjing (present-day Shenyang), with the founding name of Qing Dynasty, forcing Li Han to submit to Qing Dynasty.

Hong Chengchou was captured in Jin Song War in the sixth year of Chongde (1642). Since then, the elite of the Ming dynasty has been lost, and the Ningjin defense line has completely collapsed. It has become an inevitable trend for the Qing army to enter the customs.

In the eighth year of Chongde (1643), Huang Taiji died suddenly on the eve of the Qing army's entry into Shanhaiguan, failing to realize his long-cherished wish to seize the national political power.
