The operation will be entrusted to Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Passenger Dedicated Line Co., Ltd., which was established on June 28, 2005 and jointly funded by the Ministry of Railways, Shanxi Province and Hebei Province. In 2005, the State Council approved the Medium and Long-term Railway Network Planning, and put forward the "four verticals and four horizontals" planning for the first time, among which the important "one horizontals" is the Taiqing Passenger Dedicated Line (Taiyuan to Qingdao). The Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Passenger Dedicated Line, which started construction on June 1 1, 2005, is an important part of the rapid passenger transport network "Taiqing Passenger Dedicated Line". It is also another "bright spot" of railway construction after the Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway and other passenger dedicated lines are put into operation. The whole line adopts double-line, fully enclosed and full interchange design, and adopts electric traction. The Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Passenger Dedicated Line with a target speed of 250 kilometers per hour starts from Shijiazhuang North Station, passes through Yangquan North Station and ends at Taiyuan Station. There are 1 station in Yangquan North. The total length of the line is 225 kilometers. The line has the characteristics of many bridges, many tunnels and long tunnels, with 94 bridges and 32 tunnels, accounting for 58.7% of the whole line. Among them, Taihang Mountain Tunnel with a total length of 27.8 kilometers is the longest railway mountain tunnel in China.

In addition, in terms of comfort performance, CRH5 EMU adopts a number of advanced technologies: First, the noise is low, the EMU adopts air springs and hydraulic shock absorbers to reduce vibration, and at the same time, it adopts sound insulation materials and the whole train seal to reduce noise. Secondly, the air quality is high, and the fully automatic air conditioning system is used in the car to exchange old and new air to ensure the air quality in the car. In addition, there are pressure sensors inside and outside the car, which can automatically adjust the pressure inside the car to ensure that there is no excessive negative pressure inside the car and passengers will not feel uncomfortable. It is particularly worth mentioning that ergonomically designed seats make it easier for passengers to spend their travel life in a beautiful and comfortable environment.
