The difference between negative engraving and positive engraving

The difference lies in different cutting methods, different dipping methods and different font display methods.

Engraving is centered on the background and cut from the outside to the inside, so that the font jumps over the background in a convex form.

Negative engraving means that the background part is stained with ink, while positive engraving means that the font skeleton and frame are stained with ink. This difference makes the seal show different effects when stamping.

Different font presentation methods: In the font presentation method, intaglio makes the font look like it is embedded in it, forming a concave pattern; Engraving makes the font stand out from the background and has a distinct three-dimensional effect.
