What does Morakot mean?

At the meeting of Typhoon Committee 3 1 of the World Meteorological Organization, it was decided to implement the naming system for tropical cyclones in the northwest Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea from 2000. By 2009, two tropical cyclones were named "Morakot". The English name Morakot comes from Thailand, which means "Emerald" in Thai [1].

Tropical Storm Morakot No.9 in 2003 was generated at 5: 00 p.m. on August 2, 2003 in the northeast of the Philippines (north latitude 19.2 degrees, east longitude 124.5 degrees).
