Is it enough for foreigners to spend 2500 a month in Shanghai?

Depending on how much you spend, normal conditions are absolutely enough.

1. Rent: the unit saves this money including accommodation. If you rent a house outside, the rent between Central and Outer Ring is 1500+ for one bedroom and 1000+ for one bedroom. If you share it, it will be cheaper (I live in Jinqiao, Pudong, and share it near 600-800);

2. Meals: If you cook by yourself, 500 yuan is almost enough (with meals at noon). If you eat out within 1000 yuan, you will stop. Now I live with my girlfriend and cook by myself, and the monthly food cost is less than 1000 yuan (excluding eating out, hehe);

3. Internet access fee: 50- 100, and part of the rent includes Internet access fee;

4. Telephone charges: depending on the individual. I am now 50- 100/ month;

5. Others: purchasing clothes and daily necessities. 300-500 months.

Taken together, 2500 is more than enough.
