Peter S. Bigger, a famous fantasy writer adapted from The Lord of the Rings, is not limited to the adaptation of classic works. However, in my opinion, although The Last Unicorn is an excellent film, it is definitely not an excellent children's cartoon. There are too many feelings and rules of the adult world in this movie. With indifferent eyes and gray animation language, the director smeared the colorful fairy tale world into a microcosm of the gloomy and vicissitudes of the real world, filtering out the magical color of the story. The Adventure of the Unicorn seems to be a simple girl in a sinister adult world.

But there is no denying that this is definitely an elegant film. Out of sympathy for the unicorn, the thin and timid boy bravely accompanied the elegant unicorn to find a companion. The journey is hard and full of danger. When the unicorn was in danger and the magician was in a hurry, he read a magic that he didn't know how to read and turned the unicorn into a beautiful girl. I thought the final outcome should be that teenagers and beautiful women embraced each other sweetly in the sunset, but it didn't.

After the unicorn became a girl, she fell in love with a prince she just met.

Unicorns are full of extreme resistance to the human body at first. It must be pointed out that the prince is really an abrupt character in the whole play. As the role of giving love to the unicorn, he not only appeared very late, but also his feelings with the girl transformed by the unicorn appeared hasty and hasty, so that the scene of the prince giving his life for the unicorn also appeared emotional. Unlike many touching scenes that pursue romantic atmosphere and elaborate arrangements, this drama keeps the audience in an unknowable plot state with a seemingly strange rhythm. At the end of the film, the unicorn defeated Red Bull with the help of the prince's love power, and liberated his companions who were exiled to the depths of the sea. White waves turned into running unicorns and rushed to land with a bang. Instead of returning to their hometown-the ancient forest, they took the last unicorn to the stormy sea.

At this point, all my good wishes in the process of watching movies have come to nothing. The director successfully used his superb skills to turn a teenager's innocent dream into a horrible nightmare, just like when we were fascinated by animal specimens, he brutally cut off the hidden flesh and blood with a knife and said loudly: Look, this is the truth.
