Is the constellation in the sky actually an arrangement image of unrelated stars in the sky?

In a constellation, all the stars have different distances and have no connection with each other.

For example. There are three planes flying in the sky. These three planes fly in different directions and at different altitudes. At one moment, these three planes may form an equilateral triangle or a right triangle, while at another moment, they may form a straight line or other figures. In fact, the two have nothing to do, just because the routes are similar and they accidentally flew in the same airspace, which seems to be very close.

The same is true of the patterns of stars in constellations.
