Draco is a northern constellation, one of the modern 88 constellations and one of the 48 constellations defined by Ptolemy.

Located in the north of the North Coronation, Draco really looks like a dragon winding between Ursa Major, Ursa Minor and Ursa Major, spanning a wide range of starry sky. The high dragon head is close to the Five Immortals and consists of four stars, forming a quadrilateral, of which the brightest two stars represent longan. Area 1083 square degrees, ranking eighth. The brightest star is Etamin with an apparent magnitude of 2.23.

This is an arch polar constellation, which can be seen in all seasons in the northern hemisphere. Latitude varies from+90 to-15, and the best observation month is July.

On May 24th every year, the center of Draco crosses the sky.
