Ophiuchus crosses the ecliptic, crosses the celestial equator, and is partially immersed in the Milky Way, which is probably the only one of the 88 constellations in the whole day. However, the most striking thing about Ophiuchus is a star invisible to the naked eye.

This star is located in the east of Ophiuchus beta, with an apparent magnitude of only 9.5m It was first discovered by American scientist Barnard in 19 16, and astronomers named it Barnard Star after the discoverer.
