David Griffith's Early Experience

Griffith was born in a poor family in rural Kentucky, USA. His father Jacob Griffith was a colonel in the Southern Army during the Civil War. Griffith has been in contact with romantic the legend of heroes since childhood, and his father's words and deeds have greatly influenced his views on race.
