Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a special multi-carrier transmission scheme, which can be regarded as a modulation technology and a multiplexing technology. One of the main reasons for choosing OFDM is that the system can well resist frequency selective fading or selective interference. Its basic principle is to decompose the high-speed data stream into multiple parallel low-speed data streams and transmit them on multiple carriers at the same time. For low-speed parallel subcarriers, the delay spread caused by multipath effect is relatively small due to the stretching of symbol period. When a certain guard time is inserted after each OFDM symbol, the inter-symbol interference can be almost ignored. We design an OFDM transmission interface in the graphical interface of MATLAB GUI, and use MATLAB language to realize the function of control keys, so that we can intuitively observe the results of signal transmission in the way of OFDM system. The whole process of OFDM modulation and demodulation can be deeply understood through the buttons such as string transformation, constellation mapping, IFFT transformation, inserting guard time slot and error rate curve.
