On April 27th, Qilu No.1 and Qilu No.4 in Qilu Satellite Constellation will be launched from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, which is the first launch of Qilu Satellite Constellation. At present, satellite launch and system debugging are progressing in a tense and orderly manner.

The construction of Qilu satellite constellation is an important innovative layout of Shandong Institute of Industry and Research in the field of aerospace information. Qilu satellite belongs to low-orbit remote sensing constellation, and the innovative application mode of "space-based internet plus small satellite" is adopted for the first time in China. Satellites are interconnected by laser communication to realize fast data acquisition, transmission and processing. Remote sensing data of multiple satellites complement each other, providing high-precision commercial satellite data for the ground. The observation accuracy will reach the highest resolution used in China, and the estimated resolution can reach 0.5 meters. It is understood that "Qilu No.1" is a Ku-band high-resolution radar satellite; Qilu-2 is a high-resolution agile optical satellite with thermal infrared spectrum. Qilu-3 is a wide optical satellite with a width of 120km. Qilu-4 is a multimode high-resolution optical experimental satellite.

According to reports, Qilu satellite constellation can be revisited anywhere in the world within one hour, and covered within two hours in Shandong Province, maximizing the comprehensive ability of earth observation. Qilu Satellite Constellation can identify major trends and changes around the world, accurately grasp the changes of important targets, track and monitor the progress of major crises and emergencies, and play an important role in the intelligent management of many important industries, such as agriculture, industry, environmental protection and ocean, and can be widely used in urban management, environmental governance and other important fields. In the next three to five years, Qilu constellation will grow to 20 satellites.
