What is the constellation on March 25th?

March 25th is Aries.

Aries, located in the west of Taurus and east of Pisces, is one of the zodiac signs. The ancients found that the sun would enter Aries at the vernal equinox, which represents the day of the year when the sun moves from the south to the north of the celestial sphere. Because of precession, the vernal equinox has changed, and now it has moved to Pisces, but traditionally Aries is the beginning of the ecliptic.

Aries is small, and the stars in the constellation are dim and difficult to identify. α, β and γ constitute the head of Aries, α and β are the two horns of Aries, θ is the nose of Aries, and the others are the body of Aries.

The myth and legend of Aries

There was a king named Atamas in ancient Greece. He married the fairy Nefeller and gave birth to two children, a boy named friso and a girl named Heller. Later, a charming and treacherous woman appeared. Her name is enoch. She puzzled the king, who abandoned Nefeller and two children.

Nie Le Fei asked Zeus to bring disaster to this country as punishment. Unexpectedly, Enoch took this opportunity to let the king sacrifice his two children to God, saying that only in this way can disaster be avoided. The confused king actually believed it. Fortunately, Hermes knew about it and gave it to Nefeller, a goat with golden wool.

The goat saved two brothers and sisters and took them to Korkas on the east coast of the Black Sea. My sister Heller unfortunately fell into the sea and died on the way, but my brother friso finally arrived safely.

To thank God for his protection, friso presented a goat to Zeus, but Zeus did not enjoy it, but put it among the stars. This is Aries.
