Fortune Telling Collection - Zodiac Guide - What constellations can you see in China?
What constellations can you see in China?
First of all, introduce the usage of star map. The direction of the map is up north, down south and Zuo Dong right west, which is different from the general map direction.
The most famous summer nights are Altair and Vega. So how do the stars in the sky identify which star it is?
In fact, it is very simple, because in the night sky, we can see several brightest stars, and we can basically identify the location of the constellation by comparing the star map.
There are two famous constellations in the southern sky on a summer night. One of the most famous is Scorpio in the zodiac. It is also very simple to identify it, because its main star (Antares) is a red star of 1 magnitude. Besides, Scorpio, its constellation, has a very special shape. A long string of stars on the lower left form a curly scorpion tail, and a scorpion head on the upper right consists of several stars. There are two big claws on the side of the head, just like a scorpion with claws, so there is no second imagination.
And antares (also called fire) is the heart of scorpions. China was very particular about "fire" in ancient times. "The sun always has sparks, so it is midsummer". At night, you can see Antares in the south, which indicates that the longest summer of the year is coming.
On the left of Scorpio is the famous Sagittarius. Although it has no bright star like 1, it has many stars like 2 and 3. The most famous six stars constitute the "Southern Fighting Six Stars". Although not as famous as Beidou, it is also colorful. In China's mythology, the Big Dipper is the master of death, while Nandou is the master of life. In contrast, it is better to play the southern bucket star.
There are many stars near Sagittarius, such as clusters and nebulae, which are the center of the Milky Way. There are large globular nebulae (ω clusters) in the north of Sagittarius and Scorpio, which are relatively easy for friends in the south to see.
At the zenith, most people can see a bright pure white star, which is Vega in Lyra with a magnitude of 0. She is the fifth bright star in the whole day. Capricorn is brighter than Sirius, Canis Canis, Alpha Centauri and arcturus. To the south of Vega, another bright star can be found on the other side of the Milky Way, and there are two dark stars on each side, that is Altair in Aquila. Walking up the Milky Way from Aquila, there is a white star of 1 near our heads. It is called Tianjin IV. Cygnus is like a big cross. Tianjin IV is located at the top of the cross, and the foot of the cross faces Aquila. Vega, Altair and Tianjin IV form a triangle in the summer sky. Vega is at the right angle of this right triangle.
To the west of zenith, you can see the Big Dipper in Ursa Major. When its bucket handle points to the south, it is summer. When the Beidou extends five times along the mouth, you can see another bright star, the Polaris Ursa minor. Which is what we call due north.
In summer night, there are Cassiopeia, Ophiuchus and Ophiuchus = = but they are all very dark constellations, so I won't go into details.
Autumn is coming, and the constellation of autumn night will come later. .
