Hong Xu, a pianist from China who was appraised by The New York Times as "superb skill, keen musical insight and unlimited potential", became one of the most striking young pianists today after successfully playing Rachmaninov's third piano concerto with Vladimir Askin, an internationally renowned pianist and conductor.
