1, Yuan Longping, male,1was born in Beiping (present-day Beijing) on September 7, 930, Han nationality, born in Dean County, Jiangxi Province, without party affiliation, and now lives in Changsha, Hunan Province. China hybrid rice breeding expert and academician of China Academy of Engineering, known as "the father of hybrid rice".

Mr. Yuan has served as director of China Hybrid Rice Work Technology Center, director of Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, professor of Hunan Agricultural University, visiting professor of China Agricultural University, doctoral supervisor of Southwest University, honorary president of Hunan Biomechanics Vocational and Technical College under Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture, honorary professor of Jiujiang College, honorary president of Huaihua Vocational and Technical College, chief consultant of FAO, honorary chairman of World Chinese Healthy Eating Association, vice chairman of Hunan Association for Science and Technology, and researcher of Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

From 1964, Yuan Longping studied hybrid rice, 1973 realized three-line mating, 1974 bred Nanyou No.2, the first strong hybrid rice combination, and 1975 successfully developed hybrid rice planting technology, which laid the foundation for large-scale popularization of hybrid rice. ({Yuan Longping's research on hybrid rice is groundbreaking in China, but it is the first successful hybrid rice in the world. It was completed by American Henry Hank Beecher in Indonesia in 1963, and the miracle rice IR8 was bred in IRRI International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines in 1966. Yuan Longping's research on hybrid rice is groundbreaking in China.

4. Academician Yuan Longping is a pioneer of hybrid rice in China and a contemporary Shennong. For more than 50 years, we have been working hard and exploring tirelessly in the front line of agricultural scientific research, which has brought green hope and golden harvest for mankind to use scientific and technological means to overcome hunger.
