Kenny Bell1979, a singer of new soul music, was born to an English mother and father. Bell of West Indian origin showed interest in music very early, and later got an electric violin, and soon fell in love with this instrument. In 1990s, under the impetus of rock stars, Bell set up his first band, an all-female class, although the band had a good local reputation. Finally, when Dambert entered Reed University to study English literature, they dissolved him and formed a jazz band. The work of the Ministry prompted him to turn to his music career again. This time, he focused more on writing songs, and finally signed a contract with EMI to publish his first solo album named after himself in 2006.
