Seven Sisters is actually the seven daughters of Atlas and Leon, namely Alcyone, Strope, Calano, Electra, Maya, Merope and tigert.

The eldest daughter Maya gave birth to Hermes for Zeus and became Achatz's stepmother. Electra gave birth to Dalda North, the builder of Troy, and Teleta gave birth to Lacerda Emmon, the builder of Sparta. Stroop was raped by Ares, the god of war, and gave birth to Pisa, the Emperor of Aunola. Only Merope married the commoner Sisyphus.

Only six stars can be seen in the Seven Sisters cluster. Some people say that Melope's light is the weakest because she married a commoner, and others say that Elktra covered her eyes with her hands and couldn't bear to see the demise of Troy, but in fact the darkest star is Hartmin.
